“Anything that costs you your peace is too expensive”
Author unknown
Barring selflessness for the cause of humanity or for the plight of animals and the environment, anything that costs you your peace is too expensive.
Losing yourself to negative thoughts swirling through your mind is not worth the emotional exhaustion that it inevitably entails.
Giving your all to those that have no appreciation isn’t worth the trouble and the anguish caused by refused reciprocation.
Allowing others to control your emotions is never healthy. You have the power to decide what you feel and shield yourself from negative influences.
Thinking that you have the power to change the opinions and behaviors of those around you will only cause you to lose your peace and happiness over the backlash that is inevitably coming your way.
Dwelling on what you do not have or what you have lost does not help you to attain it or gain it back.
Worrying over things that are out of your control is worthless.
